Heriqnaz
Galstyan

Welcome to an Armenian sculptor artist Heriqnaz Galstyan's website.
Heriqnaz's art defines as Ethnomodern - a synthesis of contemporary artistic freedom with the deep roots of ethnographic and archaic culture.

Heriqaz Galstyan was one of the few prominent female sculptors in Armenia, breaking through deeply ingrained gender stereotypes around sculptural art being a “masculine” pursuit. Her works often serve as a form of civic and emotional expression - addressing environmental concerns, cultural preservation, and societal trauma.

Born in 1959 in Yerevan, Heriqnaz graduated in 1985 from the Yerevan State Institute of Fine Arts and Theatre, Department of Sculpture, in the studio of the renowned sculptor Ara Harutyunyan. Since 1987, she had been a member of the Artists’ Union of the Republic of Armenia.

She participated in over 50 exhibitions worldwide, and her works are included in various museums and private collections across different countries.
